GUIDELINES FOR VISITING THE GHETTO BIENNALE


Haiti can be complicated and difficult to buy things as the three currencies in play (gourdes, the virtual Haitian dollar and the American dollar) interchange without any perceivable logic. Often people will tell you just a number, it is always good idea to check what currency they mean.

We have tried to make a list of the most obvious things and services you might need and given the average price in gourdes, Haitian dollars and US dollars. The exchange rate is approx. 62.5g for 1 US dollar but we’re basing everything on a rate of 60g to a dollars for simplicity!
